In short

  • Your projects, offcuts, photos and settings are stored only on your device. We never receive them.
  • There is no account, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking in the app.
  • The app goes online only to check and handle purchases, through Apple and RevenueCat.
  • Exports leave your device only when you choose where to send them.
  • This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking scripts.

This policy explains how the CutStack app and this website handle your information. "We" and "us" mean the people who make CutStack.

What stays on your device

Everything you create in CutStack is saved on your iPhone or iPad, inside the app:

None of this is sent to us or to anyone else. Cutting plans are calculated on your device, and the app works without an internet connection.

If you back up your device to iCloud or to a computer, iOS includes the app's data in that backup. Those backups are handled by Apple and by you, not by us.

Permissions

Camera

CutStack asks for camera access only when you choose to take a photo for a project. The photo is saved inside the app. You can turn camera access off at any time in the Settings app, under CutStack.

Photos

When you add a photo from your library, you pick it in Apple's photo picker. CutStack receives only the photos you pick, and saves a copy inside the app.

Nothing else

CutStack does not ask for your location, contacts, microphone, notifications or permission to track you. Some features use the system without a permission:

Sharing and exports

CutStack can export cut plans and part labels (PDF), parts lists (CSV), Excel workbooks, layouts (SVG and DXF), G-code and JSON backups. These files are created on your device. They leave it only when you choose a destination in Apple's share sheet, for example Mail, Messages, AirDrop, Files or a printer. What happens to a file after that is up to the app or service you send it to.

Purchases

CutStack Pro is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment. We never see your card details, your name, your email address or your Apple Account.

Third parties

We do not sell your information, and the app contains no advertising, analytics or tracking tools. These services receive some data:

Apple

Apple processes App Store purchases, subscriptions, refunds and ratings. If you have chosen in your device settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may share crash reports and usage statistics with us, which do not identify you. See Apple's Privacy Policy.

RevenueCat (purchases)

The app uses RevenueCat to load the CutStack Pro prices, handle purchases and restores, and check whether CutStack Pro is active. When the app opens while you're online, and when you buy or restore, RevenueCat receives:

RevenueCat never receives your projects, photos or any other content you create. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

Web3Forms (contact form)

When you send a message through our contact form, Web3Forms receives your name, email address and message, together with technical details such as your IP address, and delivers them to us by email. We use them only to reply to you. See Web3Forms' Privacy Policy.

Cloudflare (website hosting)

This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. When you visit it, including when the app opens one of its pages, Cloudflare processes your IP address and browser details to deliver the page and protect the site. We don't add cookies, analytics or tracking scripts. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

Ratings

"Rate CutStack" in the app's Settings uses Apple's own rating prompt. Your rating and any review go to Apple and are published on the App Store under Apple's terms. We see only what Apple publishes.

Children

CutStack is a woodworking tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information through the contact form, contact us and we will delete it.

How to delete your data

If the app or this website starts handling data differently, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
